Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator is a not-for-profit social enterprise that accelerates youth employment by partnering across sectors to unlock earning opportunities and break barriers that keep young people locked out of the economy. As an anchor partner in the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention, Harambee operates SA Youth – South Africa’s largest youth online recruitment platform that connects youth to earning opportunities and gives employers access to young talent across the country. SA Youth supports a network of over 5.1 million young work-seekers and over 3,000 employer partners including government, the private sector and civil society.

We connect youth to work through SA Youth:
We use innovative technology to accelerate youth employment by unlocking and aggregating jobs and skilling/ training opportunities to make them visible and accessible to youth at no cost. The platform is designed to break down the barriers that young people face in trying to find employment.  SA Youth also provide tools for young people to earn an income to increase their chances of gaining employment or self-employment.  
 
We break barriers for youth to access the labour market through research, intelligence and advocacy: 
The data and insights gathered from the over 4.6 million young people on the SA Youth platform supported through our platform give us the insights we need to reduce the barriers that exclude young people from the labour market. 
 
We design and scale solutions to enable job creation: 
We partner to identify opportunities that stimulate job creation in key growth sectors and design and test scalable solutions to tackle youth unemployment through partnerships.
