Hundreds of students from Damelin City campus took to the streets of Durban on Friday, 15 March 2013, to show their support against rape and against attacks on women in South Africa. Miss Teen India SA winner, Miss Lisha Narayan (19) was crowned the reigning queen for 2013 at a glamorous show-stopping event at Coastlands Umhlanga on 30 December 2012. Miss Narayan was awarded a R100 000 Damelin bursary to study at any of the 16 campuses of her choice, and will represent Damelin as its Brand Ambassador for the 2013 year.
