To support the development of a sustainable technical architecture for the Company’s Financial Services. To provide architectural guidelines and ensure that architecture principles are adhered to in the development of solutions for FS. To analyse and refine requirements for delivering the necessary technology service to business and serve as liaison to the business community

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
  • To perform systems analysis and design activities by assessing requirements in terms of feasibility, impact and cost, thereby assisting to create and compile accurate user requirement documents;
  • To provide a high level solution design (HLD) document in response to business requirements;
  • Evaluate technical alternatives to identify suitable cost conscious solutions that address the business needs and requirements;
  • Provide solution architectures that support the strategic direction of the business;
  • Motivate and provide support for proposed architectures by clearly stating all considerations and arguments for the preferred solutions;
  • Ensure technical architectures and solutions are aligned with the Company Group principles and technology guidelines
  • To act as a technical liaison between business and the technical teams and to ensure the required support from all areas to ensure delivery of quality solutions.

Must have technical/professional qualifications:
  • Three-year degree/equivalent diploma/equivalent Certificate in Information Technology/Business/Project Management (essential)
  • Five to eight years' systems analysis and design experience preferably in a highly complex environment (essential)
Or
  • Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
  • Eight to 10 years' systems analysis and design experience preferably in a highly complex environment (essential)

  • Timeous delivery of high level solutions design for Projects

  • Quality solution designs that meets user requirements and complying with the Group Architecture Principles
