Commercial/NBD Manager - Sport Sponsorship

Who are we: An award-winning full-service sports sponsorship agency.

Who are we looking for: A commercial/new business development Manager with knowledge of sponsorship rights and a passion for sport. 

What will you do: You will be responsible for growing the agency by focusing on securing high-margin sustainable business across the primary divisions of the company.

What will you do: 
  • The growth of revenue from both existing and new clients across all areas 
  •  Develop and implement commercial strategies 
  • Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Position the agency within the industry by networking with key stakeholders, clients and rightsholders
  • Acquire more business acumen through research, and analysis of industry trends and developments
  • Presenting concepts and strategic marketing proposals
  • Negotiating quoting and pricing on specific properties through the sales cycle

What do you need:
  • Undergraduate bachelor degree – Honours degree (preferable)
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
  • Knowledge of longer and complex sales cycles
  • A passion for sports and/or entertainment
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
  • Five years experience, ideally in an advertising agency, consulting firm, or legal firm
  • Proven experience in business development, account management, or strategy (advantageous)
  • Proven sales track record
  • Track, measure, and analyse commercial metrics using KPIs
  • Hands-on experience in creating reporting and forecasting and managing budgets
