Night Shift Manager

A print production company, based in Sandton, is seeking a reliable, level-headed and responsible Night Shift Manager to oversee operations during the night shift.

This position is ideal for someone with strong character, sound judgement and a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving. While previous printing experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. The right attitude, common sense and the ability to think rationally under pressure are key to success in this role.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate night shift activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure that work is completed efficiently and according to production requirements.
• Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline, accountability and productivity.
• Address operational challenges calmly and make sound, practical decisions.
• Ensure that company procedures, standards and safety requirements are followed.
• Communicate any production issues or outstanding matters to the relevant management team.

Minimum requirements:

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to take responsibility.
• Good common sense, practical judgement and rational thinking.
• A firm but fair approach to managing people.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong personal values, integrity and a good work ethic.
• Previous supervisory or management experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in the printing or print production industry would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Salary and working conditions:

• Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, inclusive of night shift allowance
• Working days: Thursday to Sunday.
• Working hours: 18:00 to 06:00.
