About our client:
A fast-growing, tech-driven African media group is looking for an Account Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract, with a view to making it permanent. • Planning production and running partner events and activations alongside the broadcast team, including weekends when needed
  • Helping prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and reports
  • Managing contractual commitments so both sides get what was agreed
  • Tracking cost estimates, invoices and payments for each partner
  • Writing creative briefs and trafficking artwork to the right teams on deadline
  • Making sure all partner artwork that uses the brand is approved internally
  • Keeping digital guard books of artwork for each client, sponsor and partnership
  • Controlling merchandise and branding stock, including stock takes and sign-in and sign-out at every event
  • Overseeing branding set-up and tear-down at events, with photo evidence for stakeholders
  • Producing weekly reports on partnerships, content, the ambassador programme and the foundation
  • Working with other departments and group companies
What you need to be considered:
  • 3 to 5 years account management or project management experience, ideally in sport, sponsorship, events or media
  • Have sports industry experience, or a real passion for sport
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple accounts, projects and deadlines at once
  • Rock-solid admin and documentation skills: status reports, contact reports, trackers and minutes
  • You finish what you start and close the loop without being chased
  • Initiative, professionalism and the ability to follow a brief to the letter
  • Experience writing creative briefs and trafficking artwork
  • Confidence in managing contracts, budgets, invoices and stock
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Availability for event and weekend work when needed
Bonus points if you:
  • Have managed sponsor or brand activations at live events
  • Have worked with athletes, ambassadors or a foundation
  • Have worked alongside broadcast, streaming or production teams
