EspAfrika – Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF)

EspAfrika has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Junior Administrative Assistant to support its operations within a dynamic events environment. This role is key to ensuring the efficient coordination of administrative and event-related activities, requiring strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
The Junior Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the administrative and operational functions of the business, including but not limited to:
  • Administrative support: Managing day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, coordination and general office administration.
  • Event coordination: Assisting with the planning and execution of events.
  • Stakeholder liaison: Acting as a point of contact between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Preparing reports, presentations and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Operational support: Assisting with project-related and operational requirements as needed.

Qualifications
Educational:
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field (required)
Experience:
  • 1–2 years’ experience in an administrative or coordination role


Skills and competencies:
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail
Advantageous:
  • Experience working in events, entertainment or live production environments
  • Experience supporting event coordination or project-based work is beneficial
