Michael's career path has taken him on a journey through auditing, accounting, computer programming, tax consulting, factory management and then into the wilds of IT Management where he has worked for the last 20 years. He has worked in most IT management disciplines, including 13 years as an IT Manager. While working for a large mining company Michael developed and delivered IT management training for graduates, which sparked an in interest in developing IT management competencies.

In addition to his accounting and project management qualifications, Michael has an Advanced Certificate in Information Systems Management from the University of Pretoria and a Master of Commerce (Information Systems) from the University of The Witwatersrand.
