It took 61 volunteers, 376 hours, 100 social entrepreneur stations feeding more than 67,000 meals, plus bags of warmth to make Mandela Day a huge success for ChangeMakersHub.

"No words can do justice to the experience, says founder Michelle Korevaar. "It took weeks of preparation and significant support from the business sector, as well as good will and active citizenship from the community to make it possible."

All in all 61 volunteers unpacked, packed and allocated over 15 tons of fresh produce into stacks, ready for the leaders on the ground from NPOs and feeding schemes to come collect.
