BA Isago was established in 2002 and operates from four campuses - Gaborone, Francistown, Serowe and Maun. It has about 3,000 students and intended to double that number, Curro said.

The acquisition was being done via Curro's subsidiary The Embury Institute for Higher Education.

In its interim results statement released in August Curro said it would loan Embury up to R550m to expand via acquisitions.

In March, Curro acquired Namibia's Windhoek Gymnasium and in July it acquired Building Blocks pre and primary school in Midrand and St Conrad's College in Klerksdorp.

Curro said in Monday's statement it had 110 schools and 47 campuses, and planned to reach 200 schools and 80 campuses by 2020.
