International headliners at SummerWaves

SummerWaves will celebrate the end of summer at the Shimmy Beach Club in Cape Town with three of the best new International acts: Jasmine Thompson (UK), FlicFlac (Austria), and James Hersey (Austria) on Sunday, 17 April, 2016.

As well as the music, there will be cocktails on the beach, including Shimmy’s frozen cocktails, sushi, burgers, pizzas, and VIP seating in exclusive couch pockets with waiter service.

Jasmine Thompson is well known for featuring on the Robin Schulz hit Sun Goes Down, Felix Jaehn’s Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better) and is currently dominating radio with the single Fast Car.

Tropical House DJ FlicFlac is best known for the remix of Vance Joy’s hit single Riptide along with remixing Milky Chance’s Stolen Dance.

Singer/songwriter James Hersey supported Milky Chance on a US tour in 2015 and has done collaborations with artists like Kygo, Dillon Francis, and Filous, which saw him join as guest artist at major international fests such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.

Local support

The local line-up includes Pop Art Live, an up-and-coming live electronic outfit from Joburg. Since their inception Pop Art have played on almost every major line-up in the country.

Adding to the madness will be Thank Me Later, Gareth Kenward, Jet Treger and Blanka Mazimela, who have all comfortably solidified their place in the Cape Town house scene, having played on multiple major events and festivals including Goldfish’s highly successful Submerged Sundays and Ultra South Africa.
