Popular Mechanics launches FutureTech Conference for OctoberThe inaugural FutureTech Conference, hosted by science and technology magazine Popular Mechanics (PM) will be held on 25 October at the Didata Campus in Bryanston, Johannesburg. Key speakers include George Ellis, Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Complex Systems at the University of Cape Town, Dr Annamart Nieman, a former guest lecturer at the FBI Academy in Washington and Tim Noakes, Professor in the Discovery Health Chair of Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Cape Town. Prof Tim Noakes PM has hosted the annual PM Inventors Conference for three years and, according to editor Alan Duggan, it is ready to up the ante with an event that is destined to become an essential addition to South Africa's tech calendar.
