ADR in Africa

Alternate Dispute Resolution is quickly gaining support in Africa. New legislation in South Africa, for example, will see mediation become a mandatory step before litigation.

Despite the many challenges which still exist, ADR offers immense opportunity for companies and individuals looking to expand into the lucrative and exciting African markets.

The Cape Chamber of Commerce, together with Chamber Trade Sweden, are assembling some of the world's finest minds to discuss and share how ADR can be rolled out and institutionalised in Africa.

Speakers include:
• Colin Rule, CEO of Modria, former Director of Dispute Resolution at eBay and PayPal,
• UIf Franke, Chairman, Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC)
• Patricia Shaughnessy, Director, Master of International Commercial Arbitration Law program at Stockholm University

Who should attend?
• The Policy makers in national and regional government
• The Business community growing into Africa
• Organised business
• Legal advisors, legal practitioners
• ADR and Arbitration practitioners
