Effective tender and contract management 2015

In each area of public service delivery, policies have been developed and implemented based on the national strategy to ensure that we are operating at the required level of efficiency and transparency. The Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations govern the Supply Chain Management function within the public sector in an effort to ensure this. Due to the regulations set forth, it is vital that anyone related to be SCM function understands where they fit in. Individuals need to know what their roles and responsibilities are and where their accountability lies. This Workshop gives the individual an understanding of the Tender process and effective Contract Management to ensure compliance to the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulation. It paints the picture of the way SCM is regulated and controlled to ensure efficacy and transparency whilst looking at the different functions to ensure understanding and foster development of skills and knowledge needed to effectively function within the environment.
