ZAlebs celebrates Mandela Day with Stop Hunger Now.
67 minutes, 67, 000 food parcels in support of Mandela Day. That was the goal for ZAlebs, a host of South African celebrities, community volunteers and Stop Hunger Now.
ZAlebs joined Stopped Hunger at the Sandton Convention Centre to celebrate Nelson Mandela's 95th birthday by packaging and distributing food for the hungry and the less fortunate.
Since 2011, Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa has celebrated Nelson Mandela International Day (18 July) by inviting companies, community and faith-based organisations and the public to host meal packaging events around the country. This year ZAlebs and more than 1000 people, including celebrities Chad Saaiman, Keeno Lee, Carmel Fischer, Tamerin Jardine and Kerishnie Naicker, joined in and packed 67,000 food parcels.
We also had the pleasure of being joined by Miss Earth SA finalists and a few Mr SA Finalists.
