The commission said it found that the proposed merger between Martin & Martin and Nestle SA’s pet food unit was unlikely to lessen competition in the pet food market, or raise any public-interest concerns. "The transaction is mainly a replacement of one market participant by another," the commission said in a statement. Martin & Martin also manufactures food for cats. Its other brands include Epol and Vitagen. Source: Business Day |
