Nestle's pet food unit to merge with owner of Bob Martin
The Competition Commission on Wednesday approved a merger between Nestle SA's pet food business and the company that owns Bob Martin, which makes snacks and treats for dogs.

The deal was approved without conditions.
The commission said it found that the proposed merger between Martin & Martin and Nestle SA’s pet food unit was unlikely to lessen competition in the pet food market, or raise any public-interest concerns.
"The transaction is mainly a replacement of one market participant by another," the commission said in a statement.
Martin & Martin also manufactures food for cats. Its other brands include Epol and Vitagen.
