Learn how to use your data effectively to manage your HIV & TB programmes

Using Data to Improve Programmes: Data Interpretation and Data Use for HIV & TB Programmes Course

Date: Mon, 28 - Wed, 30 July

About the course: Most organisations face capacity challenges due to a number of reasons - one of which includes limited resources, both human and financial. As a consequence, HIV programme data isn't always used for decision-making or to improve programmes, but rather to simply satisfy reporting requirements. M&E capacity development is usually a priority, however more often than not, programme managers and senior programme staff are too busy implementing programmes and responding to other pressing programme needs. This course targets HIV Programme Managers and other staff on the use of routine and periodic HIV data for programme improvement. This training covers the major indicators of HIV programmes, including the Top Ten indicators used by major donors (The Global Fund, PEPFAR, UNAIDS, etc) for the following service delivery areas: HIV Prevention
: HIV Treatment, Care & Support
: Impact Mitigation
: Most-At-Risk Populations
The objectives of the course are that HIV and AIDS programme managers at implementation level are able to critically analyse and use the data generated from their programmes for purposes of overall service delivery improvement.
