Antalis Art of Design 2012 winners
The competition focussed on the special connection between paper and design and the entry kit highlighted the many ways that paper and design love one another. Eight categories provided extensive opportunities for designers to display their talents.
Prior to the big announcement, each of the winners was called upon to receive prizes and peer recognition. The main prize was a trip to New York, worth R50 000 and the opportunity to design for Antalis. Oliver Barstow of Fourthwall Books was the Grand Prix winner for his Fire Walker Book entry.
Guests were treated to insight into genius, when legendary creative Jean François Porchez, of Typofonderie, had the entire audience swearing off the use of Helvetica.
