Climate Change Conference

Southern Africa has been described as a climate change hotpot in recent IPCC Special Report on Global Warming with rising temperatures, droughts, flooding, and unpredictable weather systems set to become the new uncomfortable normal. We are starting to see the life-threatening impact of climate change on health, through air pollution, heatwaves and risks to food security and it's also disrupting economies, costing us dearly today and even more tomorrow.

As the world faces a worsening climate crisis, there have been calls for organizations and individuals alike to deliver new pathways and practical actions to shift the global response into a higher gear. This conference recognizes that climate change is the defining issue of our time and will use this opportunity to do more about it by bringing together government departments, the private sector, NGOs, local authorities and other organizations to provide sustainable solutions for climate change causes and effects.
