In Blood comes to Cape Town

In Blood's Cape Town performances is a continuation of a national tour that was launched at the State Theatre, touched Mpumalanga at Mbombela Civic Theatre in April and made a stop at the Eastern Cape PE Opera House in August last year. It was also featured at the Durban Playhouse during the festive season last year. The production seeks to entertain audiences with a unique blend of originally composed vibrant songs, popular traditional wedding songs, drama, contemporary dance, poetry and much more.

The central concept of human blood

In Blood is a unique entertainment musical themed around the central concept of human blood, the source of life and sustenance that keeps us all functioning from day to day, that essential substance that is common to us all. This serves as a unifying thread that underlines a very real sense of commonality between the performers and their audience.

The Cape Town performance of In Blood will also be a platform for ASA to announce the launch of their international tour next year. The National tour of In Blood musical is made possible by the support of the RSA Department of Rural Development as all our disabled artists are from different rural areas around KZN Province.

Tickets for In Blood cost from R100 to R140, R80 for students and pensioners, R50 for group bookings. Booking is through Computicket 0861 915 8000 or through the Artscape Box Office.

The show's performances in Cape Town are on Thursday, 19 September (opening night), running from 8pm to 10pm. A schools performance will be staged on Friday, 20 September from 4pm to 6pm. A final performance will be given on Saturday, 21 September from 8pm to 10pm.
