Arno Carstens Unplugged to tour the SA coastArno Carstens will tour the South African coast with his eclectic alternative rock brand during September 2013, at venues in the Western and Eastern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal as part of the annual Arno Carstens Unplugged series, which will include popular tracks from his solo career, as well as those from his career as the lead singer of Springbok Nude Girls. ![]() "This Unplugged series is a great way for me to perform my songs in a stripped-down and intimate environment, and allows us really to connect with the audience. I'll be performing with Gus Warden on percussion and David Watkyns on keys and trumpet, and we'll take the audience on a journey that encompasses genres ranging from intimate musical sensitivity right through to a searing landscape of sound," said Carstens. As the lead singer of Springbok Nude Girls, and subsequently as a solo artist, Carstens has released 10 studio albums (five as the lead singer of Springbok Nude Girls, one as half of the Electronica project, Bhelltower and four as a solo artist). He has had over 20 top-10 singles, won five South African Music Awards and shared the stage with legends of the music world including U2, The Rolling Stones and REM.
