Knowing that parents spend time planning to keep their busy baby occupied on the weekend, Huggies gave parents the opportunity to enjoy special bonding time at a fun-filled event held at the Johannesburg Zoo on 31 November - the Huggies Little Walkers Fun Day, which provided entertaining activities for the lively babies between the ages of eight months and two years.
Activities facilitated and encouraged interaction between parents and their baby. “Moms, dads and grandparents participated in these activities with their babies - a perfect bonding experience,” says Deolinda da Costa, Brand Custodian for Huggies Little Walkers.
Around 750 parents and babies attended the event and were treated to a number of fun and creative activities such as a sing-a-long with Petra Lester from Moms and Tots, different kiddies rides, drawing, building with building blocks and exploring a baby obstacle course. The MC for the day was well known Living and Loving writer, Giselle Wilcox.
A wonderful time was had by all. The Huggies Bear was the most popular among the little crawlers, with some preferring to enjoy from afar, while other were brave enough to share a dance and a cuddle. One of the highlights of the event was the babies' Walk-a-thon and Crawl-a-thon enjoyed by babies, moms and dads. Dads definitely took a liking to this event, encouraging their tiny walkers and crawlers across to the finish line!
