Broadband operator iBurst recently completed the installation of its 250th base station in the East Rand town of Brakpan. The new base station, situated near a mine, brings high-speed broadband Internet access to residents and businesses of Brakpan and Maryvlei Extension, as well as to the local school - the latter part of its social responsibility effort. "This marks a major milestone for iBurst as it continues to expand its national network to bring always-on Internet access to as many consumers and businesses as possible," said Thami Mtshali, CEO of iBurst. The company also recently went live with its first WiMax base station.
