The innovative piece of software, developed in partnership with D6 Media, allows the latest news headlines to be delivered to a user's computer without the need to open an internet browser or visit a website. The application can be downloaded from http://www.mg.co.za/newsflash. NewsFlash sits on a user's PC desktop and delivers the latest news headlines (local, business, sport, African and international news) throughout the day as the M&G Online news team updates them on the website. Matthew Buckland, publisher of the M&G Online, says: "This application is perfect for users wanting to get a quick snapshot of the news. It works easily and seamlessly and pops up on your desktop PC every time the major stories are updated. "We soft-launched the application a while back and so far the response has been very enthusiastic." |
