"The Global CSR Awards recognised Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) champions across various industries," says Kerrie Brand, events manager for Symphonia. "The awards aim at assessing the extent to which CSR projects have succeeded in integrating with corporate functioning; the responsiveness of these projects to the needs of different stakeholders and the development of innovative models to fulfil social responsibilities.'

Brand says the Social Entrepreneurship award recognised Symphonia for South Africa for their innovative leadership development programme where business leaders are partnered with school principals in a co-learning and co-action partnership.

"We are proud of the Symphonia for South Africa team, all our Partners for Possibility and Learning Process Facilitators working tirelessly to improve education outcomes for our children," says Brand.
