Rising Star Awards acknowledges young talent

The Rising Star Awards are a chance to recognise your top people under the age of 40 and let them know how valuable they are. The awards, hosted by Blackbark Productions and judged by the Human Capital Institute will recognise the top 80 young professionals in South Africa and create a network for them to learn from each other and maximise their input into your business.

To enter go to www.risingstar.co.za, complete the form and then ask the candidate to do the same thing. We will handle it from there. Should your candidate be successful, we will invite them for a 30 minute panel interview where their rising star qualities will be assessed.

We are looking for candidates that demonstrate the following qualities:

Ethical Compass: Trusted to do the right things the right way: say what they mean and mean what they say.
Learning & Capacity Building: Work at becoming the best and putting the best into practice.
Consistent Performance: Have a track record of producing worthy outcomes.
Connectedness: Connect to a sense of personal and company purpose and mission: have high quality networks and relationships that allow for easier access to resources.
Engaged: Use their discretion about going the extra mile to achieve results.
Can-do Attitude: Take on challenges and opportunities in equal measure: seek solutions rather than seeing problems and avoid unnecessary risk taking.

Entries close on 29 February 2012 and the 'Class of 2012' will be recognised at a black tie Gala Dinner on 11 June.
