Team "Free Spirit" seek sponsorship to compete in 2008 Hobie Tiger World Championships

The sport of sailing offers huge branding opportunities to the prospective sponsor (see attached website for more info) which can be likened to a virtual moving billboard, on and off the water. We are seeking sponsorship to pursue our dream and are offering an initial branding opportunity for a 24-month period to a prospective sponsor/s, this at an incredibly low cost of R40,000, which is extremely low in relation to the ROI achieved, especially given that it includes various multi-media exposure. We also compete on a national, provincial and local level, thereby maximising the leveraging opportunity, endorsement potential and branding exposure on and off the water. The sport of sailing has grown in leaps and bounds since Team Shosholoza's entry into the Americas Cup for the first time. In order to take the sport (and the sponsorship thereof) to a level of “more professionalism”, one needs to secure the media coverage. Rat Race Media have assisted us in achieving this media platform for the first time in SA and have just finished post production and successful negotiations with Supersport. (Flight time: 21 Dec 2007 - 21H00) RRM will also be taking care of production for the upcoming world championships in March, 2008. This is really good news for the sport of catamaran sailing in SA and will hopefully be a catalyst for attracting bigger names to this high performance extreme sport, thereby taking it to "the next level" that it deserves.
