New SA agricultural project for Argentina's INTAArgentina's National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) announced plans to launch a South African agricultural project in a fortnight. INTA would be working in four experimental areas on Argentina's Southern Hemisphere competitor's home turf, aiming to share knowledge and explore new business opportunities. ![]() Argentine representatives and members of South African cooperative Grain SA were present as INTA president Carlos Casamiquela signed an agreement to start the trials. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed with the South African Business Centre. Casamiquela said that INTA is proud to - once again - play a role in the development of his country, hoping that "science and technology yield the necessary support to give solvency to our industry," he said. According to INTA precision agriculture coordinator Mario Bragachini, Argentina needs to globalise the reach of its companies if it wishes to continue competing in global markets.
