The Lindberg soirees are back

Des and Dawn Lindberg, in association with 1485 Radio Today and The Sunday Independent are bringing their legendary soirées to the Westcliff in Johannesburg and its all in aid of Hospice, where there is no end to caring.

The four remaining soirees for the Spring season will feature some of South Africa's favourite artistes, and includes a gourmet cocktail supper and Fleur du Cap wines served on the patio overlooking the zoo and the leafy forest which is northern Jozi. The performances take place in the gracious ballroom, and the guests are invited to meet the artists directly after each Soirée.

Just like their original Soirées which were held over twenty five years in the Victorian hall of their Houghton home, the Westcliff Season of Soirées will all be hosted by Des and Dawn in person.

The Hospice Soiree Season began on Wednesday 26th September with “Des and Dawn still truckin'”: a mellow and entertaining evening of songs, vibrant multimedia images, and stories from Des and Dawn's forty year musical journey together. They have delighted audiences from the Grahamstown Festival to The Baxter, Cape Town, and Sandton's Theatre on the Square.

On Thursday 18th of October Des and Dawn will be hosting Tessa Ziegler and Danielle in “Dreams”. Tessa Ziegler's ever classy classical guitar in concert with the mystical voice of South African singing sensation, Danielle, brings to life the beautiful and haunting songs on their new album by the same name.

On Sunday 18th November the Lindbergs are proud to host
“The very best of Ian von Memertu and Rory RootenbergIAN.”

Ian is a household name as the urbane and witty host of "Strictly Come Dancing" and the creator of A Hand Full of Keys and Captain Entertainment. In this soirée programme he teams up with the amazing, vocally acrobatic Rory Rootenberg, award-winning star of Phantom of the Opera.

A five star tonic! Superb musical entertainment.

The final soirée of the season is on Wednesday 28th November: “With Love from Jacques Brel.” Graham Clark and Michelle Maxwell take their audience on a passionate and unforgettable carousel-ride through the life, music and searing lyrics of the man who wrote Ne me quitte pas, The Port of Amsterdam, Madeleine, If we only have love, and a host of other immortal Brel hits. Michelle's funky voice and piano and Graham's passionate theatrical bravura bring a new dimension to Brel.

Hospice Soirée Tickets cost R300 each, and include the gourmet cocktail supper at the Westcliff, and fine wines from Fleur du Cap.
