people magazine goes glossy thanks to high circulation!![]()
Since its inception into the market 19 years ago, people magazine has undergone several changes keeping abreast with the times. The magazine has dropped the way-out wacky label by not publishing weird alien stories as they did in the past. The magazine has changed format from a landscape to a portrait layout and has included sections such as real-life stories, as well as teenAge, which is a section aimed at 13 to19-year-olds. The magazine thus caters for all ages. On March 14, 2005, people magazine will undergo its greatest revamp to date - the mag will be printed on 80gram-gloss paper. The magazine will be more celebrity focussed and will also carry more real-life stories as well as more puzzles, according to editor Andrea Caknis. people magazine has also introduced a new section called "Life & Style" which showcases local celebrities and their lifestyles, giving our readers' insight into the way they live. "The paper has been a major drawback for the magazine with our advertisers," says Andrea "and we hope that the combination of the new glossy paper and the high circulation will attract more clients to the magazine."
