Clive Mennel FellowshipA fellowship for mid-career journalists providing an opportunity for two SA journalists to participate in a four—week programme of discussion and study on international media issues. The two successful candidates will join colleagues from major print and broadcast media from around the world at Duke University’s DeWitt Wallace Center for Communication and Journalism. The Center’s media fellows’ programme is the largest and most international of its kind in the US and offers a wide selection of opportunities and resources. At the core of the programme is a series of seminars designed to address the most important policy issues on the media agenda in the coming years. These discussions led by prominent journalists, scholars and key policy makers — focus on issues such as journalism and media, public policy, economics, international relations, environmental affairs and new media technologies. The programme provides a valuable opportunity for mid-career journalists to share experiences and develop relationships for sustained professional networking.
