About the roleWe are looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our leadership team. This is a key role within the business, responsible for driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial governance across the organization.
The successful candidate will partner closely with operational, commercial, and supply chain teams, translating financial information into meaningful business insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
This position is ideally suited to an ambitious finance professional who enjoys being deeply involved in the business, influencing decisions beyond traditional finance responsibilities, and acting as a trusted advisor to management
Key responsibilitiesFinancial management- Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Analyze business performance and provide actionable insights to drive profitability.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives.
Business partnering- Partner with department heads and operational teams to improve business performance.
- Support decision-making through financial analysis and commercial insight.
- Challenge assumptions and provide objective recommendations to management.
- Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.
Financial control and compliance- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure accurate tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting.
Leadership and team development- Lead and develop members of the finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Drive process improvements and system efficiencies within the finance function.
Minimum requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance role, with at least 3 years in a management position.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in business partnering and financial performance management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management.
