Job description

As an Account Executive, you will play an important role in managing client relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of advertising campaigns across a variety of channels.

You will be responsible for understanding client needs, briefing creative teams, and overseeing the day-to-day priorities of the business and project execution.

Key responsibilities:


Client relationship management
  • Build, and maintain, strong client relationship
  • Understand client business objectives and marketing goals
  • Effectively communicate with clients, providing regular updates and addressing their needs 
Briefing and project management
  • Gather detailed client briefs and, together with the account director, translate them into actionable briefs for the creative studio, production, or strategy. Oversee project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed expediently, efficiently and excellently
  • Review creative deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations and brand guidelines
Communication and collaboration
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including creative, production, and strategy
  • Timeously communicate project status updates to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment
Attention to detail
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all project deliverables
  • Pay close attention to details, such as deadlines and client specifications
  • Proofread and edit all materials before sending to clients
Problem-solving and adaptability:
  • Identify and resolve issues that may arise during project execution
  • Quickly escalate issues being managed, or those requiring senior intervention
  • Be adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities and challenges
    1. Responsibilities include:
  • Updating and maintaining status reports, ensuring the status of each element of every campaign is clearly understood
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of their campaigns, including key metrics, challenges, and successes
  • Contact reports: Maintain records of all client interactions, including meeting notes, emails, text messages, and phone calls.
  • Ensure all creative work is accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines
  • Oversee the creative process to ensure the final product meets the client's brief and is delivered on time
  • Understanding omnichannel communication, ensuring the agency's campaigns effectively integrate across multiple channels, including social media, in-store, direct, digital and traditional advertising channels
  • Ensuring CEs are developed, signed off by client, and timeously billed in accordance with the parameters agreed between client and agency
  • Handling contractual aspects of client relationships, including developing, signing, and invoicing contracts.
KPIs

Client relationship management and satisfaction
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Proactively address client needs, with regular updates on project progress, aiming for zero escalations related to communication gaps.
Project delivery and timeline adherence
  • Oversee and deliver 95% of projects on time by efficiently managing timelines, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with creative and production teams.
  • Ensure all deliverables align with client expectations and brand guidelines
I.    Communication and collaboration
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal teams and clients, providing timely status updates for 100% of projects.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by actively engaging in team meetings and supporting a positive team culture.
III.    Attention to detail
  • Ensure 100% accuracy and consistency in all deliverables, with zero errors in client specifications and project materials.
  • Conduct thorough proofreading and editing, achieving a 98% error-free rate in final client-facing materials.
IV.    Problem-solving and adaptability
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues quickly, maintaining a record of resolving at least 90% of challenges independently or escalating when needed.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by successfully managing changes in client requirements or project scope with minimal disruption to timelines.
V.    Account administration and documentation
  • Keep all client interaction records, status reports, and contact reports updated, achieving 100% accuracy in documentation.
  • Ensure that contracts, CEs, and invoices are developed, signed, and billed in a timely manner, with a target of zero delays in administrative processes.


Qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in advertising or a similar industry
  • Strong understanding across all communication channels and platforms, including digital, print, and broadcast media
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional client service
