Intermediate Training in ICD-10 Coding

This course is aimed at clinical coders and case managers and those seeking a career in clinical coding or case management.

Entry requirements: completion of basic training in ICD-10 coding or equivalent course or competency test.

Course content:

-Combination and multiple coding
-ICD-10 general coding guidelines: minor versus more significant diagnosis
-Uncertain/query diagnosis
-Post procedural disorders and complications
-Coding of HIV and AIDS related conditions
-Coding of Neoplasms and neoplasm coding guidelines
-Coding from chapter 13
-Coding from chapters 15 and 16
-Coding from chapters 19 and 20
-Use of the SA coding standards
