In the tradition of the awarding-winning Bafana republic satirical revues that used sport and the FIFA World Cup as entry points for biting social commentary, Mike van Graan's Pay Back the Curry! comprises a series of sketches to make audiences think even as they laugh out loud. The creative "dream team" includes Siv Ngesi (producer), the director, Rob van Vuuren, and the multi-talented Daniel Richards, depicting a variety of characters (and caricatures) that comment on all things contemporary, from fees and falls, through sparrows and statues to Zuptas and zombies!
You are invited to attend performances at the Rosebank Theatre at 20.00 from Monday 23 May to Saturday 28 May, on Saturday 28 May at 17.00 and Sunday 29 May at 15.00, and to provide feedback to the creative team afterwards!
