FICA and POPI compliance for Estate Agents Workshop
This workshop seeks to equip the delegates with the necessary knowledge to adequately comply with the legislative provisions set out by FICA and POPI.
This course is specifically tailored for estate agents, which have to comply with the provisions of both POPI and FICA, both Acts placing responsibilities and duties upon them. Non-compliance with the provisions of FICA and POPI can lead to steep fines and/or imprisonment.
The requirements for an accountable institution in terms of FICA will be discussed in detail as well as the practical implications and implementation thereof. The focus will be on estate agents and the agencies they work for.
As far as POPI is concerned, estate agents process large amounts of personal information which have to be processed in a certain manner as to protect the content or nature thereof. POPI provides for the processing and protection of personal information, which will be discussed specifically with regards to estate agents.
