Pick n Pay Women’s Walk Kimberley
Kimberley, it's your turn to put on your pink! Pick n Pay's Women's Walk is back in town, with added vooma!
We're back in town for another fun 5km walk, so dust off your walking shoes, get out your favourite pink outfit and start flexing for a day of fun with friends and family, while doing your bit for breast cancer awareness.
As usual, this year the Pick n Pay Women's Walks will be visiting towns across the country in support of breast-cancer awareness organisation, PinkDrive, but this year we've added some extra excitement - the chance to win a brand new gorgeous FIAT 500! All you have to do is enter (and finish) any one of the nine walks scheduled around SA during the course of 2016, to stand a chance to qualify for the national draw which will be held at the Johannesburg walk on 29 October 2016.
Be sure to bring your friends and family on the day to help support PinkDrive, an organisations that works tirelessly to provide women around South Africa with breast-cancer examinations and education. PinkDrive has a station at every walk where they offer free breast examinations, as well as the opportunity to talk to a representative about any breast-related matters.
Remember, the event is open to men and children too. It's about having fun and experiencing that wonderful sense of community we feel when coming together in the name of doing something meaningful for others. And best of all there's no pressure - the walks aren't timed so you can do them at your own pace in your own time.
A walk village will be set up at St. Patrick's Christian Brothers College which is also the start and finish points of the walk, and you can look forward to musical entertainment by Sheron, with Gordon Graham hosting the morning's festivities.
After the walk you'll be treated to delicious smoothies from our nutrition partner, Futurelife, who will also provide you with some samples to take home; and everyone who finishes the walk will be presented with a medal and a bag choc-full of goodies.
Lucky draws will take place throughout the event; and hot and cold refreshments will be on sale before and after the walk.

FIAT 500 competition details
§ Simply tear off the corner with the FIAT logo on the race number you'll find in your walk pack and place it in the lucky draw box provided at the event.
§ At each of the nine events, five names names will be drawn. One of those will be entered into a national draw for the FIAT 500 to be drawn at our final Women's Walk event at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg walk on 29 October 2016.
