BSA’s 40th National Yearling Sale
The nucleus of South Africa's horseracing industry, the Thoroughbred Breeders Association's (TBA) sales arm Bloodstock South Africa (BSA), hosts its annual National Yearling Sale in April this year at the TBA Sales Complex in Gosforth Park, Johannesburg. This will be the 40th National Yearling Sale at the TBA's custom built complex.
The event promises to be a splendid outing for serious buyers and spectators alike.
While you're there, take a tour of the beautifully curated TBA Museum for the most comprehensive history of South African horseracing. The museum cinema is a highlight. Watch a video production of South Africa's earliest racing legends, with original film footage of horses such as Hawaii, Colorado King and Sea Cottage. Video titles are updated according to the horse sales seasons, so you can look forward to something new. It's a cultural gem that shouldn't be missed.
Afterwards you can indulge in cappuccinos, a hot breakfast or a lazy lunch at the various venues which are open during the sales and situated on the premises, while looking forward to meeting and greeting the Thoroughbred yearlings.
