SACBW SeminarThe SA Council for Business Women (SACBW) is hosting their Gauteng seminar on 20 April 2016 at OR Tambo International Airport Garden Court Hotel. This forms part of their national congress where they are delivering five seminars in various regions in South Africa as well as the judging of the Business Woman of the Year competition. The goal of this non-profit organisation is unlocking potential and to see women grow to their full potential, reach their goals and succeed in business. Their 2016 theme is lead the change. Coenie de Villiers will address delegates on how the music brain can transform your life and business. A variety of other speakers will entice attendees with a host of cutting-edge topics and an interactive workshop will be held to assist business women to become more dynamic and self-assured. The SACBW is represented nationally by successful business women. The council was established with the goal to find an organisation that represents women in business and create a vehicle for women to network, learn from each other, grow and mentor other women in the field of business. This congress is a learning forum designed for leaders, managers and entrepreneurs who want to advance their career or grow their business by proactively pursuing their own professional and personal development. In May, they head to Bloemfontein, Western Cape and Umhlanga and end their series of seminars off in June in Nelspruit. Well-known South African musician, television personality and businessman, Coenie de Villiers represents a scintillating combination of right-brain and left-brain thinking, and shows how it can work for you. The presentation is topped off with de Villiers behind the piano illustrating how music can help you to create fresh meaning and wealth in your life and business. He was a lecturer for media and communication sciences, an announcer, programme manager and marketing manager for several radio stations. He was the public affairs manager for a South African gold mining giant and MD of Eliance Media in the Bidvest Group, a director of O2 Communication, and he was a director of BrandWealth Strategic Advertising - the company of which he was a founding member. Coenie was also a director of SVK Holdings, the company contracted to do the steel construction and logistics for Hitachi (South Africa). He consults as an independent strategic marketing consultant and does work for several large companies. He was director of culture of the ATKV. He served as a director on the SAMRO Board for ten years, and was a trustee of the POSA Board. The other speakers include Mariana Pretorius who is a registered industrial psychologist. She has a Masters degree in human resource management and is a qualified logotherapist with the Victor Frankl Logotherapy Institute and a career coach. She believes that making the most of the challenges leads to empowerment and ensures that a person is able to handle stress and prevent burning out, which will be her topic to the delegates. During her coaching sessions, a holistic process, taking into consideration the personally unique cognitive, affective as well as spiritual aspect of each individual towards empowerment is followed. Vice president of the council and current Mrs Mpumalanga, Diana Jansen, will take the floor by motivating delegates with the topic 'lead the change'. Registration for the congress opens at 8.00. The ticket price is R500 for members and R550 for non-members. Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided during the seminar.
