In light of the animosities of racism that has surfaced, Afrika Tikkun will host a Dialogue at the Afrika Tikkun Phutaditjaba Centre in Alex. Phutaditjaba Centre was founded by Alex philanthropist and community builder, Rev Linda Twala.
The centre, which used to be the home of Rev Twala, but was destroyed by a powerful apartheid police-planted bomb in the 70s in retaliation for his underground ANC work, was rebuilt and given to Afrika Tikkun to use to run its Cradle to Career programmes.
The dialogue will explore:
Race and privilege
The legacy of Nelson Mandela
The heritage of resilience within the Jewish community in the face of racial persecution
Date: 27 March 2016
Time: 10:30 - 12:00
Venue: Phutaditjaba Centre, Alexandra
