Easter Brunch at Trees CaféThis year, Trees Café will be marking the Easter weekend with a special brunch that has been carefully crafted by Chef Stefan and his team. Trees Café is situated at the Townhouse Hotel in the heart of the city centre and is surrounded by the trees from which it derives its name. Given the excellent position and sunny, relaxed atmosphere, it is the perfect place to gather friends and family for a meal on this special holiday. Like all good things in life, this light meal will start with freshly brewed coffee. There will also be an impressive selection of infused teas and fruit juices; and of course traditional hot cross buns, as well as a variety of cold meats, cheese boards, mushroom and truffle omelettes, hash browns and flapjacks with berry sauce and maple syrup. But this is just to get you warmed up. This starter will be followed by a choice of Mediterranean vegetable salad or a roast beef whole wheat wrap. The main course combines traditional Easter favourites with a true Trees Café twist - local pickled fish in curry sauce, along with a delightful choice of chicken roulade stuffed with spinach, feta, sundried tomato and croutons; or a slow roast herb infused leg of lamb, served with rice or baby potatoes and chargrilled root vegetables. Dessert is a selection of mouth-watering profiteroles, or chocolate pudding cup with vanilla anglaise. The Trees Café Easter Brunch is on Sunday 27 March and will cost R235 per person.
