The 2006 vintage of Eikendal's Classique has been released and it offers a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and, for the first time in many vintages, Merlot (15%) which adds abundant fruit layers and a feminine body to this winelands classic.
It is an excellent choice with fillet medallions and fresh rocket, springbok carpaccio with fresh olive oil and black pepper or smoked aubergine and mozzarella stacks with beetroot relish.
It retails from R130 per bottle directly from the cellar or countrywide at selected wine outlets and restaurants from R150 per bottle.
