Pathways to Funding 'Do-ference'

Our Pathways to Funding Do-ference is for all entrepreneurs and early stage enterprises, designed to help navigate the complex field of fundraising. Whether you are looking for seed funding or your enterprise is ready to raise additional funding - join us as we uncover opportunities and challenges (social) entrepreneurs face when trying to access funding.

The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a specialised unit at the UCT's Graduate School of Business, will host numerous workshops, one-on-one meetings and talks by successful entrepreneurs with over 30 speakers including Luvuyo Rani (Silulo Ulutho Technologies), Rob LeBlanc (Awethu Project), Elvis Sekhaolelo (eKasi Entrepreneurship Movement) and Tracey Chambers (The Clothing Bank) amongst others.

You will be able to create your own do-ference agenda by choosing from a multitude of practical mini-workshops and one-on-one sessions focused your access to finance needs and questions.

We are offering group and student discounts, as well as full scholarships and will refund the transportation costs for those who register and whom need to join us via public transport.

As part of our Pathways to Funding Do-ference, Mustard Seed a social enterprise investor and incubator, will host a pitch competition for ten pre-selected social entrepreneurs. The winner will continue to work with Mustard Seed for the opportunity to secure funding. This is also an opportunity for investors to identify enterprises they would like to nurture further. You can join this free part of the do-ference on the evening of Thursday, September 10.
