Yolanda Y'awa - Living her dream as a solo artist.
Once described as "a flower from Gugulethu", Yolanda Y'awa, is set to launch her second album at the Alliance Francaise, 155 Loop Street, Cape Town on Saturday September 12.

If you love the sounds of Afro-contemporary jazz, Afro-dance pop, and soul with a touch of fusion and country, you will appreciate Y'awa's original compositions on her new album Perfectly IMperfect. Her sound is distinctive and engaging.

Y'awa who's a former vocalist with Coda has travelled around the world with bands like Women Unite Marimba Band, Tucan Tucan, and Coda. She has shared a stage with the likes of Oliver Mtukudzi, Freshlyground, Parlottones, Bongo Muffin, Beatenberg and Malaika to name a few.

Perfectly IMperfect is recorded at Traxstudio and produced by Riaan Steyn.
