Archetypes - introductory class
The study of archetypes allows each one of us the space to be curious as to how we show up in our lives and in the world.
Some of the benefits of learning more of your archetypes:
- have greater flexibility to respond to the challenges in life
- highlight the relationship you have with yourself
- the ability to be more effective in your external relationships e.g. family, workplace, community
The introductory programme focuses on the core archetypes that collectively each of us carry: Child, victim, prostitute and saboteur. The more aware we are of our archetypal patterns, the greater centeredness we hold within our language, body and emotions.
Quite by 'accident' I learned of archetypes back in 2004. One of the biggest 'ah-hahs' for me personally was the realisation that I 'prostituted' myself in the corporate world because of the lack of faith and belief in my abilities and in myself. And then there was the realisation that I 'sabotaged' myself constantly through the decisions and choices I made.
I am still learning about me and my archetypes each and every day, the difference is that now I am able to recognise patterns quicker and self correct a lot sooner than before.
