Strategic brand leadership

Brand leadership is of vital importance in the 21st Century: in the age where all information is free and transparent and the passive consumer has become active, it is crucial that brands act with genuine integrity, compassion and respect in order to demonstrate leadership qualities. Brands that behave arrogantly, deviously or unethically, quickly face the wrath of a hostile marketplace and feel it in their bottom line.

The primary purpose of this course is to develop theoretical and applied competence within the field of innovation and leadership with specific application to brand building and marketing. This implies the ability to acquire, interrogate and interpret brand-business and marketing principles and theories while applying these to the development of industry-leading brand and marketing strategies. Students will gain a deep and systematic understanding of current thinking, practice, theory and methodology within the area of innovation and leadership in contemporary branding.

The course is aimed at middle to senior managers who are looking to brush up on their leadership qualities as well as those of the brand they represent.
