10th Ikasi Experience - Bigger and Better
The Ikapa Live will host its tenth edition of the Ikasi Experience - a township market celebrating local culture and diversity.
Ikasi Experience is aimed at empowering the community by creating a platform for local business to grow and engage with potential consumers. It also hopes to encourage an inter-cultural environment, conversely extending urban boundaries and interactively enhancing township perception on economic activity.
This brainchild of Cape Town duo, Loyiso Mdebuka and Vincent Manzini started in 2012 as a means of helping local vendors to expose their goods and services to an array of both national and international visitors.
It promises a day filled with entertainment and performances by both local and national acts such as; Sir Vincent, Dj Loyd, Uno July, Lukhanyo Marimba Band, Stoan Dance Group, Mshayi and Ms Eve to name a few.
There are prizes up for grabs for those who will participate in the features of the experience. The experience has features such as; Ikasi had talent, Ikasi bright ideas and of course Ikasi Diski.
