Rationality is put to the sword as the rubber-faced funnyman steps into the persona of six hilariously unhinged characters to poke fun at our multi-cultural, multi-lingual melting pot society and prove that madness, like stupidity, is an entirely subjective affair!
The spotlight falls squarely on 'crazy' as comedian Gino Fabbri brings his celebrated straight-jacket comedy 'Gino Fabbri is Completely Nuts' to the Barnyard circuit in July.
Rationality is put to the sword as the rubber-faced funnyman steps into the persona of six hilariously unhinged characters to poke fun at our multi-cultural, multi-lingual melting pot society and prove that madness, like stupidity, is an entirely subjective affair!
Eastern Cape born Fabbri, who has delighted corporate audiences around the country with his off-beat character-driven humour, received five star ratings from Durban paper The Mercury's Billy Suter and Cape Argus's Theresa Smith, and brings this delightful comedy to the Johannesburg public for the first time.
This show takes place at The Barnyard Theatre Emperors Palace on 16 July, The Barnyard Theatre Musiekskuur on 21 July and on 22 July the show takes place at The Barnyard Theatre Cresta.
The show does come with a warning "Beware - this show contains Nuts!"
'Sanity' is a word not often associated with Fabbri - or more specifically, with the hair-brained assortment of loony-bin characters with the strangest outlooks on life which he portrays!
Completely Nuts has less to do with squirrels and everything to do with the balmy, loopy, half-witted perspectives and shenanigans which Gino's characters get up to, most of whom turn out to be "about as sharp as a bowling ball"!
Gino's characters share an inability to accurately perceive exactly what is going on around them, all the while trying to compensate for their short-comings. In doing so, hilarious consequences ensue as Fabbri moves from naughty stand-up comedian to quirky singer.
So get committed - come walk the tightrope between sanity and madness with Gino find out for yourself if Gino is indeed "nuttier than a pile of squirrel droppings", in the full knowledge that one thing will always be certain : You'll be none the wiser after seeing this show!
