Women's WalkJoin in the fun and help raise funds for breast-cancer awareness. East London, get ready for the Pick n Pay Women's Walk on Saturday 16 May 2015! Join in the fun and help raise funds for breast-cancer awareness Bring your friends and family (men welcome!) and get walking for a great cause in the The walk isn't timed, but rather a fun way of getting the community together to raise awareness around breast-cancer and early detection; the walks are held all around South Africa to raise funds for PinkDrive, a public-benefit organisation that provides free breast-cancer screening around the country. PinkDrive is present at every walk where they offer free breast examinations, as well as the opportunity to talk to a representative about any breast-related matters, so make sure you look out for them on the day. A walk village will be set up at Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium, which is also the start and finish points of the walk; and walkers can look forward to musical entertainment by Nasine van Rensburg and her vocal academy; as well as Algoa FM's Gordon Graham hosting the morning's festivities. Lucky draws will take place throughout the event; and hot and cold refreshments will be on sale before and after the walk. Everyone who finishes the walk will receive a medal and a goodie-bag full of products.
