Negotiation and conflict management workshop

This Derek Pead & Associates workshop offers you the chance to better understand the art and science of negotiation and conflict management, and to polish your skills with fellow delegates in carefully selected role plays from Harvard Law School's prestigious Program on Negotiation.

Negotiation and dispute resolution are at the core of what every leader, manager and salesperson does, every day. So why is it that inferior deals are done? Why do disputes so often arise? And why are relationships damaged so frequently, often leading to a material impact on revenue and sustainability?

No matter what your current skills level is, you will emerge from this 1 1/2 day Derek Pead & Associates workshop with far better negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

The workshop is led by Harvard-trained expert Derek Pead and his team of mediation and facilitation experts, Siham Boda, André Oosthuizen, Peter Thomas and Nicky Wilson-Harris.

Course content includes:
- Bargaining vs interest-based negotiation
- Managing the tension between empathy and assertiveness
- Managing the tension between creating and claiming value
- Dealing with difficult people and with difficult questions
- Anchoring and meta-anchoring
- Dealing with conflict in the workplace and beyond
- Mediation as an effective dispute resolution tool
- How interpretations of language and personal concerns affect outcomes at the negotiation table
